Instruments
Ink Drawdown can check what your display shows with a measuring instrument. The extension comes in two halves: the part in your browser, and a helper on your computer that can reach the instrument — a browser cannot talk to USB hardware on its own. One installer covers every instrument. Both halves come from ChromaChecker, and neither needs administrator rights.
1. The Bridge extension — in your browser
The Bridge extension relays requests from the page to the Bridge helper on your computer. It has no access to the page, only to the helpers listed below. Google Chrome.

2. The Bridge helper — on your computer
The Bridge helper talks to the instrument through the maker's SDK and answers the extension. One installer, version 0.7.2, for your user only — no password: macOS, Apple silicon · macOS, Intel · Windows 64-bit. Restart the browser after installing.

3. Try it
A bare reading, for checking an installation. Calibrate first with the instrument on its white tile and nothing mounted — "Calibrate all" does the three types in that one placement. For an ambient reading, lift the instrument off the tile and attach the diffuser afterwards; on an i1Studio the wheel goes to the ambient position instead, and a MYIRO-1 calibrates under its cap and then takes the diffuser. "Head / knob" says where the instrument is now. Once the instrument is connected and calibrated, its own button measures too, whenever it is pressed — the type chosen here.
Removing it
Two pieces went in, so two come out, and neither needs administrator rights.

Nothing is left behind on purpose: no background service, no login item, no settings elsewhere. Your instrument's own drivers, if you installed any, are not touched.
Readings never leave your browser: the page asks the extension, the extension asks its helper, the helper asks the instrument, and the numbers come back the same way. No account, no upload.
